Small Planet Dancers offers a variety of programs that span the Civil War and Victorian eras. These include:
The Civil War (or Victorian) Ballroom — Costumed in hoop gowns and tails, we perform period dances, including quadrilles, polkas and waltzes. Audience members are invited to participate in the Grand March at the conclusion of the program. This program can be adapted to focus on the American Civil War or Victorian era.
Wassail! A Victorian Holiday — Through an interactive holiday ball set in Victorian times, we invite audiences to celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, and the New Year by singing holiday songs, playing a parlor game, and dancing a final march with the troupe.
An Afternoon (or Evening) of Tea and Murder — The year is 1868, and an afternoon of tea and dancing turns into a campy murder mystery when one of the guests suddenly expires. Will the guests get to finish dancing before the culprit is caught? Can the audience solve the mystery and figure out whodunnit?
